Dr. Dennis Sarabi, MD, PhD, FACC

Dennis Sarabi, MD, PhD, FACC, is a cardiologist in Newport Beach, CA, and serves patients in Southern California. Dr. Richard Haskell 

Dr. Haskell earned his Bachelors’s degree from Stanford University in 1975 and then his Doctor of Medicine degree at UCLA in 1979. 

He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and his Fellowship in Cardiology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.  

Dr. Haskell was among the first cardiologists to acquire formal training in Interventional Cardiology and was the first to complete an Interventional Fellowship at Good Samaritan Hospital

in Los Angeles.  

He joined the Medical Staff at Hoag Hospital in 1987. Dr. Haskell is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. He is currently Chief of Staff (elect) for the Hoag Hospital Medical Staff.

Dr. Bonnie Gainer

Dr. Gainer obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, in 1979. 

She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1984. Then she completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Loma Linda University Medical Center. After she finished a Sabbatical in Interventional Cardiology at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles in 1992.

and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases with added qualification in Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. Parham Parto

Dr. Parham Parto is a cardiologist providing care to patients throughout Southern California. He is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine and specializes in Interventional Cardiology. 

Dr. Parto received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California-Irvine in Biological Sciences and a minor in Educational Studies. Dr. Thomas Benvenuti, MD

Dr. Thomas Benvenuti, MD, is a cardiologist in Newport Beach, CA, and has more than 37 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. Chesnie MD

Dr. Chesnie is a board-certified cardiologist and lipidologist in Newport Beach, CA, provided care to Orange County residents for over 30 years. He is on staff at Hoag Memorial Hospital-Newport Beach.

He has been the Chairman of the Department of Cardiology at Hoag Memorial Hospital from 2006-2016 and sits on various advisory committees. Furthermore, Dr. Chesnie is also the CEO of Orange County Cardiovascular MSO (management services organization), a group of 27 cardiologists working in association with Hoag Memorial Hospital, Newport Beach, to provide cardiovascular care to the community. He is also a board-certified lipidologist and works with patients on coronary risk assessment and heart disease prevention.

Dr. Chesnie is a University of Toronto and Harvard trained cardiologist with board certifications from the American College of Physicians and Royal College of Physicians of Canada.

He was a fellow to Dr. Bernard Lown at Harvard School of Public Health.

He developed the electrophysiology programs in several Orange County Hospitals and has a deep understanding of managing arrhythmias. He did the first ablation procedure in Orange County and introduced the implantable defibrillator to this area. He was the founding Medical Director of electrophysiology at Hoag Hospital.

Dr. Champion obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He finished his internal medicine residency as well as his cardiology fellowship in Galveston. He served as Assistant Professor of Medicine in Heart Failure and Transplant while at UTMB. His career path led him to MD Anderson at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas, where he assisted in the development of the Cardio-Oncology program before moving to California.

Dr. Amar Chana

Dr. Chana completed his Medical Degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed his residency was completed at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois; there, he received the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2005. He completed his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, where he was elected chief cardiology fellow. Dr. Chana finished his Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
